This historic neighborhood developed as the principal living quarters for the early Senatorial and Congressional members.

 

Living in Capitol Hill

Capitol Hill is largely comprised of row houses and townhouses and is one of the most densely-populated neighborhoods in the District.

 

Getting around the city and the country when living in Capitol Hill is no problem, thanks to Union Station. Not only does the Metro stop in Union Station, but it is also an Amtrak station.

 

Eastern Market is also a major draw of Capitol Hill. This historic marketplace hosts flea markets on Sundays that attract people from all over the city.
